Gender Spectrum Lounge

Gender Spectrum offers a variety of national, online support groups in monthly meetings for preteens and teens (even separate groups for parents and grandparents). Join a supportive community, be as quiet or as verbal as you'd like, all from the comfort of your own home!

LGBTQ Teens Online Talk Group

A GLBT Help Center program for gay/lesbian, bisexual, transgender, questioning and gender-variant youth, ages 12-19. Every Tuesdays, from 7-9 pm, this weekly moderated group is an opportunity for youth to talk safely and comfortably about LGBTQ+ concerns, issues, and personal triumphs. 

The Trevor Support Center

Of The Trevor Project, this comprehensive support site will answer FAQs about all things LGBTQ+ from bisexual, trans, gender, homelessness, HIV/AIDS, coming out topics and many more.

Trans Teens Online Talk Group

Queer friendly, is a program of the GLBT Help Center, this online, weekly moderated group is held on Wednesday nights, between 7-9 pm (Eastern), and is a safe, supportive place for trans and gender-expansive people to speak about their concerns and/or triumphs.

Crisis Helplines

The Trevor Lifeline: Call 1-866-488-7386, available 24/7.

The Trevor Project is the leading national organization providing crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to LGBTQ+ young people, ages 13-24.

TrevorText: Text ‘Trevor’ to 1-202-304-1200 (standard text messaging rates apply). Available only Thursdays and Fridays between 4:00-8:00 pm only (EST).

Trevor Chat: Online instant messaging with a Trevor Chat counselor, 7 days a week, 3:00-9:00p EST.

Fenway Health:

LGBT Helpline: 1-888-340-4528 or 1-617-267-9001, available Mon-Sat, 6:00pm-11:00pm. Anonymous and confidential phone lines that offer LGBTQ+ adults and youth a “safe place” to call for any kind of LGBTQ+ information, i.e. safe sex, coming out, depression, HIV/Aids, referrals, and support.

Peer Listening Youth Line: 1-800-399-PEER (7337) or 617-267-2535, available Mon-Sat, 5:00pm-10:00pm. For LGBTQ+ youth under 25 years of age, Fenway Health volunteers who identify as LGBTQ+ and are between 16-25 years of age are trained to offer support and active listening for LGBTQ+ peers.

National LGBT Help Center 1-888-843-4564

An expansive LGBTQ+ source providing a wide range of free and confidential helplines for LGBTQ+ people of all ages, with dedicated lines for youth, peer-to-peer support, and resources.

Trans Lifeline: 1-877-565-8860

Available 7 days/week from 11:00 am-5:00 am, this lifeline is a non-profit dedicated to the immediate safety of transgender people. Staffed “by trans people for trans people”, it provides support for transgender people in crisis and/or those who may be questioning their gender identity.

Boston Suicide Samaritans: Call or text 1-877-870-HOPE (4673)

Provides compassionate, confidential and non-judgmental services, including 24/7 crisis helplines, grief support/counseling, and community outreach and education.

2-1-1 Crisis and Emergency: Call 211

A queer-friendly, free service that helps people all over the country find knowledgeable and helpful resources for any issue, including crises, housing/homelessness, domestic violence, health/medical, etc. Call 211 if you are experiencing any issue.
